Jack of Inks was born from an unusual story. Its founder wasn’t a tattoo artist by default.He was a surgeon. After long days in the operating room, he spent his nights sketching designs and tattooing friends, guided by the same precision and steady hand that defined his medical career. Eventually, passion won. He traded scalpels for needles and opened his own tattoo studio in Munich.
The challenge for us was to capture this unique duality: half doctor, half artist. We didn’t want the brand to feel like just another tattoo shop, it had to reflect the discipline, trust, and care of a surgeon, while celebrating the freedom and creativity of an artist.
The solution included:
- A distinctive brand identity – centered around the “Jack of Trades” card reimagined as the founder himself, complete with his recognizable cap.
- Custom logo illustration – turning his personal story into a striking visual symbol that bridges medicine and art.
- Complete set of studio assets – from signage, business cards, and print materials to digital templates for consistent use.
- A modern website – designed to showcase his work, share his story, and make booking seamless.
- Social media presence – tailored visuals and campaigns to build visibility and connect with a wider audience.
That’s how Jack of Inks took shape. The new identity is bold but clean, professional yet artistic. Inspired by the classic “Jack of Trades” card, we designed a logo that illustrated him directly, his likeness adapted into a bold playing card character, complete with his signature cap. A symbol that feels playful yet personal, professional yet artistic.
The rest of the identity followed: a modern website, social media presence, and studio materials that balance clean professionalism with creative edge. The result is a brand that tells his story at a glance, a blend of science and art, precision and passion.
